The Signs Are A Sign…
Take a look at these two photos. What do you see?
Put aside that the 5 City Council candidates (myself included) and the mayor are wallpapering the city with self-promoting marketing messages.
Look deeper and you may likely find the basis for your City Council voting decision on November 8.
One picture shows 4 signs as 1. The other picture shows a sign that stands alone.
This is no coincidence. The four incumbents have filed for re-election together, campaign together, and want to extend their political lives together, sharing a common voice.
I stand alone.
Make no mistake, I am friendly with the other candidates and I am happy to agree with them on issues that are agreeable. The difference is that I am not afraid to disagree, have open discussion, and spark debate when necessary. In other words, I am not afraid to represent you independently.
Now, the “4 as 1” incumbent group will most certainly try to change their tune and say they are independent. They have to see that their strategy is wildly unpopular.
But, just remember to look at the signs; they are a sign… and they tell the whole story.
What is your choice?
Vote John Gehrig for Ocean City Council on November 8.
A Fresh Choice… An Independent Voice.
I appreciate your vote and take it very seriously.
